Animated email signature that writes itself
A handwritten signature that draws itself at the bottom of your email is a small detail people remember. Make one from your real signature and export it as a GIF that works in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail.

Make your animated email signature
- Photograph your signature on white paper, or upload an SVG.
- Pick a speed. Around 2 seconds feels natural in email.
- Choose a white or transparent background and export as GIF.
Add it to Gmail
- Upload the GIF somewhere public, such as Google Drive set to anyone with the link, or your website.
- In Gmail, open Settings → General → Signature and insert the image by URL.
- Keep the width around 200–300px so it stays crisp on phones.
Add it to Outlook and Apple Mail
Outlook desktop shows only the first frame of a GIF, so choose a first frame that looks good. Outlook on the web, Apple Mail and iOS Mail play the full animation.
Tips
- Keep the GIF under 1 MB so it loads instantly.
- Use a single loop, or a long pause between loops, so it isn't distracting.
- Match the stroke colour to your brand colour.
